The Mimbres culture was relatively isolated in southwestern New Mexico with areas of influence that extended to eastern Arizona, northwestern Texas and slightly into present day Mexico. It reached its zenith about C.E. 1050 in the Mimbres and Gila river valleys located ~25 miles east and west of Silver City, New Mexico.
