    Minnehaha Falls is located on Minnehaha Creek within Minnehaha Regional Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Its name is derived from the Dakota words, "mni" and "haha" meaning water curling, It was made famous when Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote the epic poem "The Song of Hiawatha" naming Hiawatha's true love "Minnehaha."
