Model of Spitfire MK IX MK923 Mouse Pad
Large scale model of Spitfire MK IX MK923 in flight. The first Squadron was that of 126 Squadron at Sawbridgenorth, Hertfordshire on 10.5.1944. Given code 5J-Z. The Squadron moved three times, first to Culmhead on the 22.5.1944 and again to Harrowbeer on the 3.7.1944 and finally to Bradwell Bay 30.8.1944. MK923 first action was on a sortie on May 28 1944 flown by 126 Squadron. The pilot for this was Commanding Officer Sq. Ldr. W.W.Swinden on a shipping recon to the St. Brieuc-Ile de Batz area. S/L Swinden chose this plane as his personal mount with other pilots flying in her occasionally. June 1944 saw Swinden replaced by Squadron Leader J.A.Plagis ( Rhodesian ace ) who chose ML214 as his preferred plane more so of MK923. The plane stayed active but with no specific pilot. August 14 1944 two Messerschmitt Bf 109G's were shot down by Pilot Officer Risley on Rodeo 202 South of Paris. MK923 then left 126 Squadron after squadron were relocated to Bentwaters in Suffolk 30.12.1944. The real plane is now in a museum in Seattle.

I Absolutely LOVE this mouse pad! It's even better than I expected! The picture I used is about 55 years old and the quality is amazing! My mom passed away Thanksgiving 3 years ago and this is just such a beautiful picture of her with us. I ordered one for each of my sisters for Christmas and I can't wait to give it to them. I love Zazzle! Everything I have received is top notch! Thank you for helping me keep this memory alive. I am completely satisfied with the print quality and the overall image. It turned out better than i could imagined!

It was time for a new mouse pad and being that I am at the computer so much, I wanted something pleasing to look at. I was completely floored when I received this one from Zazzle. The quality is great, and at such a great price! I paid a little over $15.00 - and with it being a custom photo??? - can't beat that! The photo of my pup was even better than the original that I took with my iphone - no special zoom camera. I wasn't sure if it would maintain quality when being blown up for the mouse pad size but WOW - the colors are vibrant, and it actually looks like my sweet pup is actually looking at me...... so so so so very happy with the result!
