Moon Shadow is an 8 by 10-inch piece where texture takes center stage. I built up the surface with layers of spray paint, exploring a tactile interplay between rough, grainy areas and clustered forms that suggest natural minerals or bark. The composition moves from a deep circular shape on the left into patterns that feel rooted in nature, with cool blue tones weaving through earthy browns and beiges. The process allowed me to focus on depth and contrast, creating a piece that feels both grounded and alive.
