This postcards features an old image . A cityscape of Constantinople or as it is called nowadays Istanbul , Turkey . .It features a mosque - the sea and some boats . The moon is half covered by the clouds . It has some exotic real Middle Eastern feel in warm colors . It is courtesy of Library of Congress .The richly colored image looks like photograph but it is actually a photochrom print an ink-based photolithograph . A serial number is written in bottom edge : Constantinople ,Yeni-Djami, Au Clair de Lune - which means moonlight over the mosque Yeni Djami .
