This little light on Morris Island
This lighthouse may be faded but it is still one of my favorite lighthouses of all time. This lighthouse located on Morris Island in Charleston Harbor, South Carolina. When it was built in 1876 is was on land and about 1,200 feet away from the bay. It now stands several hundred feet offshore. This lighthouse was decommissioned in 1962, when they built a new lighthouse located on Sullivan’s Island. You can see it by going across the way from Charleston to Folly Beach, South Carolina.
