The mother is kissing the cheek of her beloved child. The original art was painted by Norah Neilson Gray in 1920.

Most condolence cards inscriptions seem too impersonal to me; it's hard to find one right for expressing sympathy with someone who has experienced a death, serious illness or other loss. I liked the ray of light on this card, suggesting a path forward. I was a little surprised when the card arrived to realize it is actually not a card that opens, but just a card, with space on back to write -- so this is most appropriate for short note rather than letter. Quite a lovely photo, and I like the flower detail on reverse side of card.

I love the layout of this design. I know this is the traditional size but many of my recipients are elderly so with this cursive font, which is very small , it is hard to read.
