Mount Teide is a volcano located in the national park on Tenerife in the Canary Islands, it was declared a national park on 22 January 1954. Mount Teide is 3,718m summit is the highest point in Spain and the highest point above sea level in the islands of the Atlantic. At 7,500 m from its base on the ocean floor, it is the third highest volcano in the world. Taken in 2009 this was a coach trip around Teide on a beautiful warm clear day.
