About This Design

Native American Red Black Kaigani Thunderbird Bottle Cooler

Native American Red Black Kaigani Thunderbird Bottle Cooler

Keep your drink cold with this bottle cooler with a beautiful Kaigani Thunderbird from British Columbia, Canada. The background is green. The text is in white. You can't go wrong with Northwest coast Haida art, it's been popular for decades. These First Nations designs are ideal for apparel and always look good. This Thunderbird is in the style of Kaigani people, a subgroup of the Haida. The original was found on the internet and redrawn. Due to my family in British Columbia, for instance Vancouver BC, Haida Form-line art has been part of my life. The Pacific Northwest coast is a beautiful place where I spent some happy holidays and a couple of years ago I decided to learn some of its native art. Form-line is an indigenous art made by the First Nation people of Northwest coast of North America. The term form-line is invented by Bill Holm. We use the word since 1965, but the art is many hundreds of years old. The idea is to create a flowing continuous line with increasing and decreasing thickness. We get negative spaces with a dominant black outline. The negative spaces are filled with form-line type ornaments or elements. The main forms are ovoid's, U forms and S forms. With these forms the artist composes a complete form-line.

The product looks and feels great. Also giving this a 5* because of the fantastic customer support. My first order of this was not perfect and Zazzle refunded me right away so I could re-purchase. I'm not a typical review-leaver, but the customer experiance made me really happy. Crisp lines, looks great.

The printing is nice as usual for Zazzle . It's thinner than other can coolers I've had. Don't try to print anything across the center of the bottom as it's printed flat. This is my design and will likely replace this product when I fix the bottom so if your interested in the design you can find it here - zazzle.com/store/sanfordstudio.

And I have a personalized hugger with my favorite pet. I’ll be able to cherish her long after she’s gone since this hugger will last several years. Thank you Zazzle! The photos were crisp and clear, and the background color turned out exactly as selected on website.
