The Flatiron Building (originally called the Fuller Building) was completed in 1902 and is a national historic landmark in Manhattan. Its name refers to its resemblance to a cast-iron clothes iron.
The beautiful clock in the foreground is known as the Fifth Avenue Building Clock and was erected in the early 20th century when 5th Avenue was a prime destination for New Yorkers. Its ornate, antique clock face is looked after year after year since it is also a NYC landmark.
