It can reach a max length of 155 cm (5.1 ft) and a max published weight of 55.8 kg (123 lbs). It can reach a max length of 165 cm (5.4 ft) and a max published weight of 68 kg (149.9 lbs). It Inhabits lakes and deep pools and runs over sand or rocks in small to large rivers. It feeds primarily on small fish, crayfish, clams and snails; also on aquatic insects and small mammals.
