Northern Cardinal Word Art Bird Playing Cards

These playing cards feature my colored pencil painting of a male Northern Cardinal and include a brief description of the bird in the background: "Perhaps one of the most easily recognizable bird species in North America, the boldly colored Cardinal is a stunning sight. You can find it foraging for a wide variety of seeds and insects. Sunflower seeds seem to be its favorite. While males sport a brilliant red year round, the females have a more subdued coloration. Their nests are made of twigs and weeds in the shape of an open cup. These robust birds inhabit wooded areas, thickets, or even your own backyard."
