In China the number 8 is considered lucky. Perhaps because the Chinese word for eight "Ba" is very similar in sound for the Chinese word for wealth. Apparently in China You have to pay extra to have the number 8 on your car license plate or in your telephone number. I don't know it works but anything is worth a try :)
