Okapi Wildlife Reserve Postcard

Okapi Wildlife Reserve Postcard

Deep within the heart of the Ituri Rainforest in the Democratic Republic of the Congo lies the Okapi Wildlife Reserve. This vast UNESCO World Heritage site is a critical sanctuary for the elusive okapi, a remarkable mammal often called the 'forest giraffe' due to its striped hindquarters and deep-forest habitat. The reserve is a bastion of unparalleled biodiversity, draped in dense, ancient canopy where sunlight filters through towering hardwood trees, wild lianas, and mist-shrouded rivers like the Epulu.
