Olivetti Lettera 32 Two-Tone Coffee Mug

The writer Cormac McCarthy was recently in the news for buying a replacement typewriter. He bought his first one, a Lettera 32 like this, for $50, used, in 1963. He typed 5 million words on it and the only maintenance he performed was taking it down to an auto service station to blow out dust with an air hose. When it finally wore out he replaced it, with another used Lettera, that cost even less than the first one. This specimen is from 1975 and it is one rugged little typewriter, despite its insubstantial carrying case and too tightly-packed keys.
