OPERA BALILLA WATCH
L'Opera Nazionale Balilla (ONB) fu un ente di stato istituito con legge votata dal parlamento. "L'Opera nazionale Balilla per l'assistenza e per l'educazione fisica e morale della gioventù" (nome completo dell'ente di stato) fu fondata nel 1926 come ente autonomo, l'ONB confluì, insieme ai Fasci giovanili di combattimento, nella GIL (Gioventù Italiana del Littorio) a partire dal 1937. La denominazione fu ispirata alla figura di Giovan Battista Perasso detto "Balilla", il giovane genovese che secondo la tradizione avrebbe dato inizio alla rivolta contro gli occupanti austriaci nel 1746: un'immagine di modello rivoluzionario cara al regime fascista.
