About This Design

Optimism - Everything's Fine Mug

Optimism - Everything's Fine Mug

Back in the day - wasn’t it cute how optimistic people were about surviving a nuclear blast or even a pandemic? Just duck under a desk, cover your eyes and put your hands over your head! Industrious moms turned basements into bomb shelters by stocking them with booze, canned goods and crafts. After all, preparing for the end of the world is 90% crafting. ***This retro design was created by artist Glennis McClellan. This design features a two-toned "Ben-Day" dot pattern to replicate advertisements from the 1950’s. Check out similar branded merch in our "collection" section or visit ichicksonly.com.

This is a gorgeous mug that makes me feel as though I am outdoors in my Hosta garden, on a beautiful day in Spring! The printing is lovely and sharp just like my painting. I shall be displaying this mug at an exhibition soon!
