Oriental Navy Blue White Asanoha Japan Pattern Clock
Gift your friend this clock with this traditional Asanoha fabric pattern. The background is a dark Navy blue, the line-work is white.
A traditional Japanese herb leaves stencil pattern in traditional Japanese colors, in this case Navy blue. The Asanoha is in a hexagonal shape, and that is the reason why this pattern is called as such. Popular during the Edo period and still in demand today.
This kind of pattern is often used on fabric for yukata or a jinbei, traditional Japanese clothes for in the hot summer months. But I have seen the pattern also used as part of a kimono.
When you think of this type of fabric, resist dyeing comes to mind. In Japan vintage techniques are roketsuzome with wax, katazome, yuzen and tsutsgaki with rice paste. A favorite method of applying paste is by means of a stencil.

VERY DISAPPOINTING, would be the title of my review.
The first photo is what I saw online & ordered. The second photo is what I received.
The photo AND description of this product on the website is very deceiving. I assumed since “glitter” was in the name of the item, that it would indeed be made with glitter, NOT a printed representation of glitter.
Another poor quality clock made in China & it looks so unbelievably cheap.
This clock isn’t worth more than $15, WAY overpriced at 30+ dollars, $45 with shipping.
