Oriental Pink Sakura Koinobori Fish Scale Pattern Duvet Cover

This duvet looks wonderful with this traditional fish scale fabric pattern. The color is a hot Sakura pink on a light pink background. What is shown is a twin size duvet cover. A traditional Japanese fish scale seamless pattern in traditional Japanese colors. One of which is sakura. It is a simple abstract design of fish scale you see a lot in Japanese prints. This kind of pattern is often used on fabric for yukata or a jinbei, traditional Japanese clothes for in the hot summer months. But I have seen the pattern also those typical Japanese windsocks, the Koinobori. When you think of this type of fabric, resist dyeing comes to mind. In Japan vintage techniques are roketsuzome with wax, katazome, yuzen and tsutsgaki with rice paste. A favorite method of applying paste is by means of a stencil.
