Our Lady of Fatima - "Sacrifice Prayer" Card

A prayer card for the sick or suffering. No suffering need be in vain. The mystery of redemptive suffering - some of the baptized are invited mysteriously to a veritable vocation of redemptive suffering in a very high degree. All of us are asked to “offer up” the lesser daily trials of our lives. To live with that attitude is something beautiful in God’s eyes. A readiness to offer up sacrifices is the best antidote to a mentality of complaining, irritability, negativity, and cynicism. The Sacrifice Prayer Card. This prayer card features a beautiful painting of the Blessed Virgin Mary appearing to the visionaries of Fatima, Portugal in 1917. This painting shows the Holy Mother standing on a cloud over a bush, with stars around her head (a crown of stars), rays of light shining from her, and the three shepherd children wearing black head scarves and kneeling in the grass with sheep in the background.
