Paul Klee (1879-1940), a German-Swiss artist, influenced the concept of modern art like hardly anyone else. With his mosaic-like composed works, he created a completely new style. Understated figurative illustrations full of wit and humor became his trademark. His works are mostly small formats, often just drawings, that virtually captivate the viewer.
