Peace Dove w/ Olive Branch Blue Delft 1600s Repro Ceramic Tile

Inspired by the dove Noah released from the ark after the flood, this tile depicts the bird returning with a branch. This tile is reproduced from one of a set we have of antique Dutch Delft tiles dating to the 1600s. All are listed separately. They can be used as wall or backsplash tiles, fireplace surrounds, coasters, keepsake boxes, and a host of other decorative and gift items. Tiles are available in 4.5 and 6 inch sizes. We love using these in a mix-and-match fashion. (See Tessie Ray's media pages for some examples.) Delft tiles date back to the 1600s when blue and white Chinese porcelain imports reached the Netherlands, so this is an early design. The popularity of these items was a great influence on Dutch tile artisans and Delft became the center of production for these usually (but not always) blue and white tiles.
