Penn Central Railroad Travel Candy Jar

- New York Central Railroad found itself facing bankruptcy in 1967 due to continued decline in railway use. Pennsylvania Railroad found itself in a similar position after the offices built following the demolition of Pennsylvania Station Passenger Trains were no longer bringing the company sufficient income. In 1968 New York Central Railroad merged with Pennsylvania Railroad to create the Penn Central Railroad company. The newly formed Penn Central began to look into updating the uses of the Grand Central Terminal in order to increase revenue and save the company from financial straits. The Penn Central went in to bankruptcy and became part of Conrail in 1976.

The candy jar was a gift. The recipient absolutely loves it. It shows two rescued pets who are now adopted and the logo of the national charity that facilitated the rescues. The featured dog's adoptive mom ordered a jar too; she and the dog both love it as well. The dog is especially fond of the candy jar as mom keeps doggie treats in it. The printing is undoubtedly excellent although I did not see it in person myself.

Product arrived on time and looked great. Given to my dad for a candy dish at work. He loved it. Colors looked really good. Only downfall was that the images were a little blurry. But you can not beat it for the price.
