Our foil and non-foil postcards come with the option of 2 different paper types each. The thickness of these papers is measured in points (pt), where 1 pt is equal to 0.001 inches. Non-foil postcards have the option of Signature Matte (18 pt) and Basic Semi-Gloss (16 pt). Basic Semi-Gloss costs approximately $0.16 less per postcard. Foil postcards are available in Premium White (16 pt) and Premium Soft Touch (18 pt), where Premium White costs approximately $0.55 less per postcard.
Our paper types for postcards are designed to absorb ink easily. For our non-foil postcards, Signature Matte (an exclusive to Zazzle) absorbs ink very quickly and is resistant to smudging, making it our most popular paper type. Basic Semi-Gloss only coats the front of your postcard, meaning the back is still an easy-to-absorb paper. For foil postcards, Premium White and Premium Soft Touch are both designed to absorb the print ink with enhanced vibrancy and depth, translating to better pen ink absorption.
Our non-foil postcards don’t come with envelopes. Postcards are designed to be mailed as-is, while also being more affordable than your standard card or letter. Our foil postcards come with the option of an envelope, which will cost $0.15 per postcard (before any discounts are applied). Putting foil postcards in an envelope is beneficial if you want to protect your card during the transit process.
The fastest method is to use Zip or Zip PLUS, but that’s only available for our non-foil cards. With Zip, the production time will be reduced to just 1 day, with delivery in 1 to 2 business days after it’s made, and Zip PLUS will produce your postcard on the same day, with delivery the next day. Without Zip, manufacturing can take up to 2 business days for non-foil cards and up to 4 business days for foil, with Standard (4 to 7 working days), Premium (2 to 3 working days), and Express (1 to 2 working days) delivery options available.
The minimum photo resolution for a postcard is 200 PPI (pixels per inch), which is 1000 x 1400 pixels. Your uploaded photo will need to meet this minimum so that it comes out sharp. In the product preview, you’ll see a notification in the top right corner of your picture that looks like a blue or yellow bubble. If you see this, you’ll have to upload a higher-quality photograph, or it may print blurry and pixelated. Your photo should be uploaded straight from your camera roll or computer. If possible, avoid using a photograph taken from social media pages or received via text message; the resolution of these images is often compressed. To check the image resolution on iPhone, simply swipe up on any photo; for Google Photos, swipe up and click ‘Details’; and for Samsung Galaxy, tap ‘⋮,’ click ‘Details,’ and look for resolution/dimensions.
Yes, all of our postcards come with the option of removing the Zazzle logo. Removing the logo will free up space at the back of your postcard and will keep branding off your wedding suite. This will cost around $0.05 per postcard. As a preset, all postcards come with the logo. To opt out, go to the Zazzle Logo section directly underneath the Paper Type section on any non-foil postcard product page, and underneath the Foil Color section on any foil postcard product page. Click ‘Remove from back of card’ to remove the logo.
If your postcard arrives with printing errors, defects, or damage caused during production or delivery, you’re covered by our Zazzle Standard Returns policy and can request a reprint, credit, or refund within 30 days of receiving your product.
