Pin the tail Donkey Dartboard
Vintage Party Games - Children's game called Pin the Tail on the Donkey
This is a vintage drawing of a Pin the Tail on the Donkey game for children's parties. The poor donkey is missing his tail, and the children are blindfolded, spun around, and one at a time, they try to tack cut-outs of his tail onto the target. The child closest to the target wins.
The pin the tail on the donkey image is from an old book published in 1918 called, "The Young American Readers" and shows this image as well as a little story. "We'll turn you around three times, start you straight, -- and you pin the tail on the donkey."
Please be aware that the image quality on this print purposely is a bit rugged. It appears with small dots and imperfections throughout, as we wanted to keep it's look as close as possible to the original book printing process which required the images be separated and printed with a series of fine dots on the printing plate.

The personalized dart board will be perfect for my daughter's game room in their new house! It was packaged well and arrived with no damage. It is rather sturdy. Because of the weight, I am going to recommend they use an anchor bolt to secure it or nail into a stud behind the drywall. The printing turned out exactly like I saw it on the preview.
