Pineapple Log Cabin Patchwork Design Square Sticker

The design is based on the design of an antique patchwork quilt. This quilt is a stunning example of the "Log Cabin" pattern, with a unique "Pineapple" variation, made between 1870 and 1880 in Pennsylvania, USA. The quilt is pieced from wool and cotton, combining tradition with vibrant color contrasts. The design showcases strips arranged diagonally across each center square, with angled and lapped ends, creating a dynamic visual effect. The traditional alternation of light and dark segments within each square forms a distinctive pineapple-like shape, adding depth and movement to the quilt. These blocks, in their rhythmic geometry, create the illusion of spinning, spiky wheels. The center squares are traditionally red but here are a mosaic of red, blue, and black triangles, giving the quilt a striking appearance. The "Log Cabin" block is known for its architectural strength and versatility, with various interpretations such as "Court House Steps," "Barn Raising," "Running Furrow," and "Light and Dark." The quilt's aesthetic appeal, with its complex geometric patterns and bold colors, speaks to both the functional and artistic value of quilting, which has been a cherished tradition passed down through generations.
