The Dandenong Ranges on the outskirts of Melbourne have a perfect blend of native-Australian and exotic trees and plants. The Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden is no exception to this. On one walk I took there I noticed the sun catching some trees in the distance wearing their autumnal splendor. They were framed by the shadowy tree trunks nearby. I had the sense that this was a sacred moment - like I was drawing near to heaven's glory or it was drawing near to me. I captured the scene in this watercolour and pen and ink artwork - naming it 'Drawing Near'. I cannot help but think of stained-glass windows and butterfly wings when I see it. May you too have that sense of heaven's glory drawing near as you enjoy this artwork.

I had a favorite photo that was take during a recent trip to France done for gifting purposes as an 8x10 and the results were outstanding. While the photo looks professional, it has even more meaniing to us, since it's a treasured memory that we ourselves caputred Since this one turned out so great, I immediately ordered additional photo plaques in various sizes to share other memorable moments. Thank you Zazzle for offering this amazing item. While I opted to not indlude printing on this particular plaque, however, I did include printing on the other placques that I ordered and the printing came out as I requested in my plaque design.
