Playa del Rey Post Office Double-Vintage Postcard
Playa del Rey was founded in 1902 by the Beach Land Company. The first Post office opened in 1904, the same year as our beloved bank building (still there!). The Land Company sold its first property here on July 16th and the Los Angeles Pacific Electric Railway Company ruled the rails with a station at the corner of what's now the lot where Jake's at the Shore once was.
