Polka Dot Zebra English Pub Hockey Puck

The logo of the world famous and entirely mythical Polka Dot Zebra pub in England. The logo is drawn from the pub's outdoor sign. Done in traditional style, it features our polka-dotted, brown zebra on a blue background. Text reading, "The Polka Dot Zebra" in Old English font appears at the top. The pub supports a local hockey team. Go Zebras! Zebras are not always born with black and white stripes, There are a number of mutations which can can cause variations on colour and form. In 2020 a young, "polka dot" Plains Zebra (Equus quagga), nicknamed Tira, was discovered in Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve. Tira's unusual appearance is the result of a rare mutation called pseudomelanism. Tira was the inspiration for our Polka Dot Zebra, an artist's conception of an adult animal with this colour variation.
