This 19th century bridge which featured in An American in Paris is totally covered in padlocks representing a promise of love. The accordion player plays a soulful melody for the lovers who come to place a lock to represent their lasting love. The lock is fixed to the bridge and the key tossed into the waters of the River Seine below.
A large section of this bridge recently collapsed into the River Seine, no longer able to support the weight of all the padlocks. Now, The Paris Council has made a determination to remove all of the locks as the combined weight is putting the bridge at risk.

Very impressive product! The canvas is sturdily made. It features a saw tooth hanger on the back, making it easy to "try out" the canvas in several rooms until I found the best location. I ordered this product to see what the quality was because I am selling it on my store. Plus it was on sale and it was an excellent price! I didn’t expect it to be as nice. It really is beautiful. I am relieved! The only thing I don’t like about it is the sawtooth hanger on the back. I prefer a wire hanging system. The sawtooth hanger was not even centered but I managed to hang it straight anyway. Overall I love it! I will add the wire myself. The printing was clear and crisp and the colors were excellent! The canvas was stretched tight and professionally done. I am very happy with the quality of the print!
