Postcard - Tupper Lake NY

Tupper Lake's nickname stems from its central location in the Adirondack Park. It is home to the popular Wild Center, a nationally recognized natural history eco-center that brings the Adirondack wilderness up close and personal. Tupper Lake also offers miles of secluded snowmobile trails dotted with outstanding accommodations, plus pristine waters, and a never ending list of outdoor adventures. Annual Woodsman's Days feature axe throwing, logrolling and chainsaw carving competitions. Artisanal fairs and antique shows also draw visitors every year, and there is even an old-fashioned movie theater nestled in the heart of the village. While the Adirondacks may be known for spectacular mountain vistas and picturesque towns, Tupper Lake boasts some of the darkest skies in the Northeast that are perfect for stargazing.
