Between election cycles, while you are waiting to cast your vote, there is something you can do. You can write your legislators and other elected officials to voice your concerns and tell them what you want done. Be that a protest, vote of support, or suggestion. One postcard may not seem like much of a force to be reckoned with, but multiply that by hundreds, thousands and millions of similarly minded constituents and you will, indeed, be a force of nature. Use this card as an attention getter when it lands in your official’s office mail. It is best to write your message in your own hand on the back side, along with the appropriate mailing address.
