Dropping any kind of litter is illegal including cigarettes. Litter is very hazardous to wildlife and if lit of course cigarettes can ignite fires which will upset the humans too. Some birds like to use the materials from filters to build nests. Then the eggs are contaminated with nicotine and 199 other ingredients. Then babies don't hatch. If in case there are hatchlings they typically die from nicotine poisoning. Very sad and preventable. Many species of birds have gone extinct worldwide. We should do all we can to help species survive. Change the image to your own if you prefer.
