Rackham Sword in the Stone King Arthur Tile

This tile features an illustration of the famous scene where Arthur removes the fabled sword from the stone it is embedded in. This scene is from a 1917 issue of an abridged version of Thomas Malory's "Mort d' Arthur" with exquisite illustrations created by Arthur Rackham (1867-1939) in the pre-Raphaelite style. A wonderful set to collect, give as gifts, or use as part of a wall tile project. Rackham created 16 color plates and 7 black and white plates plus smaller drawings for the book. We'll be adding other designs so check back for more.

From the pictures we needed to replace two tiles that had the old toothbrush and soap dish and the tile guy said two tiles would have to be removed. The tiles were PERFECT! just a slight color difference to the naked eye but they match pretty darn good. Tile guy had to shave the back because the 1957 tile was thinner but as you can see it worked out great! We are elated over the moon happy, Thank you!
