Rare Hawker Hurricane Postcard

Very rare Hawker Hurricane in flying condition. In 1940 there were far more Hurricanes in service than Spitfires, so arguably the Hawker Hurricane is the true hero of the Battle Of Britain. Not as fast or advanced as the newer Spitfire it was nonethelesss a stable gun platform with eight machine guns and could soak up more punishment than newer fighters like the Spitfire or the Messerschmidt BF109. More kills were recorded by Hurricanes than Spitfires in the battle but as the war progressed Spitfires were developed and improved and became the dominant British fighter of the war which partly explains the comparative rarity of Hurricanes today.
