Ravens Circle Dance Paper Plates

Nine lively ravens (Corvus corax) circle around a knotted Norse/Celtic ring. A triquetra, a triangular figure of three interlaced arcs, appears at center. Everything is superimposed on an old paper background image, giving it a medieval feel. You may change the color of the border ring or remove it altogether. In Norse mythology the number nine is associated with Odin and his valkyries, connecting it to the cyclical nature of life, death, and rebirth. Ravens were multi-faceted symbols including the connection between the worlds of the living and the dead. In effect, this image can be thought of an an avian ouroboros.
