Red-Necked Phalarope Cushion by RoseWrites

After researching the Zika virus extensively and publishing "Birds as Reservoir Hosts of Zika: What You Are Not Being Told" on InfoBarrel (under my pen name, RoseWrites), I decided to create a lumbar pillow in support of Zika research and/or shorebird conservation efforts. When I learned that shorebird populations have been crashing, my immediate thought was that Wolbachia-infected Aedes mosquito releases (carried out in Brazil and other places) are at the root of this. By selling this lumbar pillow, I hope special interest groups, birders, and wildlife lovers can help scientists discover why shorebird numbers are declining so rapidly and find a way to help them recover. P.S. I will donate 50 percent of my royalties from every sale of this lumbar pillow in support of Zika research and/or shorebird conservation efforts. Note: You can change the color on the back and/or the text I added which says "Save Our Shorebirds". Photo Credit: Psychofox at English Wikipedia [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons
