Repro 1885 Booth Aesthetic Wild Rose Transferware Ceramic Tile
Reproduction of antique T.G. & F. Booth transferware tile. Transferware tiles were originally produced using a decorative technique that was developed in England in the mid-1700s. The design was printed onto the tile and, if colored, glazes were applied to the design by artisans. The transferware process made tiles more affordable than hand painted tiles and they were very popular.
