This bold tile works so well in contemporary interiors it is difficult to believe that the original tile this was copied from is over 100 years old. We believe it was made by Minton. The original is a cement encaustic (cement) tile but our duplicate is a ceramic wall tile that makes a stunning backsplash or wall tile with white or gray kitchen or bath color schemes as well as more colorful decor. Very versatile statement-making tile.

From the pictures we needed to replace two tiles that had the old toothbrush and soap dish and the tile guy said two tiles would have to be removed. The tiles were PERFECT! just a slight color difference to the naked eye but they match pretty darn good. Tile guy had to shave the back because the 1957 tile was thinner but as you can see it worked out great! We are elated over the moon happy, Thank you!
