Reproductive Freedom Button

Republican candidates from the local level to the state level all the way up to the right wing activist judges on the Supreme Court of the United States are aggressively working to take away the individual liberty of women and couples to choose when to have a family, how many children they want, etc. It's not just their effort to ban abortion, even in the case of medical emergencies, but also birth control that is under attack. These efforts come at the same time third world countries are realizing that family planning is absolutely key to climbing out of stone age poverty into the industrial and technological world. When voters or the media try to ask about this particular facet of the GOP's extreme tea party waged multi-front war on women, instead of answers, we are told that discussing their anti-woman agenda would be a "distraction" from economic issues. But, for women and for billions of families, worldwide, it is a known fact that reproductive freedom IS economic freedom! Democrats who are running for office are fighting back, vowing to protect and/or win back the hard won reproductive rights and freedoms of American women and working class American families. This campaign slogan lets the world know where you stand... with your feet firmly planted in the economic realities that face us as individuals, as families and as a nation.
