    Note on wearing of buckle: as is seen in the product photos, from the wearer's perspective, with the buckle facing outwards so that onlookers can see the design, the belt loop that attaches to the belt is on the right side of the buckle. This means that in order to keep a design right-side-up, the belt will need to be worn around the waist with the belt threaded starting from the right side of the body, which is typically how women's belts are worn. Men's belts are typically worn threaded around the waist staring on the left-hand side (again from the wearer's perspective, with the buckle facing outwards), so please keep this in mind with designing or purchasing a belt buckle.

This Retro Pink Grid and Starbursts Belt Buckle is where vintage style meets modern day. It features a light pink background with kitschy, off kilter squares and rectangles in dove grey and three shades of pink. The whimsical blocks of color are overlayed and worked into some of the grid intersections. There are also black rectangles with black vertical and horizontal lines forming a grid pattern. Black starburst designs and squares are placed sporadically throughout this mid century modern tapestry of color. This design features the most common pink colors found in vintage bathrooms. I'd lost my old Yudansha buckle with the sakura given to me when I earned my black belt in 1955. So, I saw this one with the Kanji on a white background and went for it. The design with the two characters, yawara [juu] and michi [doo] are finely drawn with a classic hand in a tight calligraphy. It's a delightful rendition with no added ornamentation and beautiful in its simplicity
