Retro Rainbow 8 Pride Car Magnet

The first Rainbow Flag was designed in 1978 by Gilbert Baker, a San Francisco artist, who created the flag in response to a local activist's call for the need of a community symbol. (This was before the pink triangle was popularly used as a symbol of pride.) Using the five-striped "Flag of the Race" as his inspiration, Baker designed a flag with eight stripes. Baker dyed and sewed the material for the first flag himself

I bought this magnet for a truck and was disappointed. It's hard to get the real pride-color flag, so I didn't reallty have many options outside of zazzle-- I wanted it as a car magnet because it can be taken off when I go thru cop-heavy remote areas. The pattern is not like in the image, it actually has a pattern to it and is NOT solid stripes, it's almost like a paint brush or carpet pattern. I thought maybe the print quality was just super bad but I bought two and both are like this. Second, the magnet is more of a thin fridge magnet, not thick and strong like a car magnet. It's on my fridge for now because it definitely isn't going to survive a day on a truck.
