I had fun with this, coloring coloring coloring instead of packing and cleaning .... revising a bit, and adding a bit to it. It is applicable to so many occasions from a ladies day by the pool, a luncheon, a shower, a party, moms relaxing now that the kids have gone back to school. I remember that well when we lived in Walnut Creek, California during my high school years - great neighborhood (and the houses on our street had beautiful pools). Mother was immediately adopted by the doctors' wives on the small cul de sac who were home all day while their husbands worked as was Mother while Daddy worked. I was used to coming home from school every day, visiting with Mother, and Mother always had a snack for me. I laughed when playing with this invitation to still recall the first time in my life that I walked into that empty California house after my boyfriend (who lived 2 doors down on the cul de sac) dropped me off. In a panic, I called him, and he said my Mother was by their pool with his Mom and another neighbor....and there it was: the future of me coming home from school as the ladies lounged by the pool .... unless it was raining ... : ) We more than made up for it though.
