RHODE ISLAND – the state with the longest name in the union – was the 13th state to join the Union. It’s official name is “the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations.” It is the smallest state in the nation in terms of land area. It was the last of the original 13 colonies to become a state. Watch Hill has the nation’s oldest carousel. The first circus was performed in Newport. The Tennis Hall of Fame is located here and gas-illuminated streetlamps were first used in this city as well. The state was the first to initiate action against England prior to the Revolutionary War. It was also the first state to formally develop a democratic system of government which promoted freedom of speech and religion, the founding principles in the First Amendment. The oldest known veterans’ monument is located in Cumberland and the oldest schoolhouse is in Portsmouth. Of all the many reasons to be proud of the Ocean State, these are but a few and any resident will gladly inform you they are an AUTHENTIC RHODE ISLAND ORIGINAL!

Good quality dark Heather gray, Gildan brand shirt. -it was next up from basic choice and cost about $20 per shirt. Not too thick or thin. Washed and dried well, no major shrinkage. Not see-through. Can wear a bra under it fine. Screen print is just as shown and well done, front and back.
