Rosedale Memorial Arch and Flag, Kansas City, BW Postcard
The Rosedale Arch is dedicated to the citizens of Rosedale, who served in World War I. Rosedale is a neighborhood district and former municipality on the southern edge of Kansas City, Kansas. The Rosedale Arch was inspired by the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and was designed by John LeRoy Marshall, a Rosedale resident. The Arch, situated on Mount Marty, was dedicated in 1924. When lit at night, the arch is most easily visible from the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Southwest Boulevard. In 1993, a historic marker was dedicated under the arch to honor the soldiers of World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War.
