The full title of this work is "Rounding a Bend" on the Mississippi – The Parting. This item presents a dynamic design. It's a wonderful feast for the eyes. It's full of variety of beautiful dark blue hues, contrasting with pretty, light colors. It's an exciting night on the water. Something special seems to be going on, as fireworks have been set off from one of the riverboats. This artwork was created by Frances Flora Bond Palmer in 1866. Although she was born in England, multiple sources list her as "American, British born" and her art as American art.
