Rural Young Woman Taking a Horse to Water Mug
This design features a print by British artist Heywood Hardy (1842–1933), who was renowned as an animal painter and painter of horse riding scenes. It depicts a beautiful white horse being led towards a shallow pool of water by a woman in traditional dress. The horse has water dripping from its mouth because it's just been drinking. It has muscular legs and a long tail. There are rural fields surrounding the young woman and her horse. There are also some plants growing out of the grass. The sky is light blue with some white clouds. The original art was painted by Jan Mankes in 1877.
