Featured on this stretched canvas print is an original photo by Karen Coffelt of a saguaro cactus at Superstition Mountain in the light of the sunset just outside of the Lost Dutchman State Park in Apache Junction, Arizona framed in dark terracotta red. This is a view from the Mountain Bike Trail in the park, and is part of Superstition Wilderness in the Tonto National Forest. Local legends tell the tale of the German immigrant Jacob Waltz, known as "The Dutchman", who is said to have found a fortune in gold in these mountains and hid it so that no one could steal it from him, but he took the location of the gold to his grave, and treasure hunters continue to search for it even now.
