The Saint John Festa in Porto, (Festa de São João) Portugal, is a celebration that combines tradition, culture, and a profound sense of community. It's all about getting together and having fun. Another is eating grilled sardines, another is hitting people, even strangers, on the head with a hammer that makes a peculiar sound. And another is to buy basil.
