Sand Dollar Pillow

This was a Mother's Day gift. I always try to find something unique and lovely for my Mom, and thought this would fit the bill perfectly, and go very well with her decor. The 2 stars are for the (temporary) elation I felt when I got an email saying it had been delivered the day before Mother's Day, when the expected delivery was the day after. When I got to my Mom's house and saw the mis-shapen, off center, lumpy pillow that had arrived I was stunned. It looks NOTHING like the picture. I would have preferred that the seller take more time and care with the sewing, and have the gift arrive a bit late. I didn't expect to be apologizing to my mother for my gift...(it reminds me of the handmade presents I gave to her when I was in grade school). I wish I'd just bought flowers. It left me wondering: Is this the seller's standard quality of work? (or) Did I get penalized for using a promo code? Does Zazzle verify that the quality of the product represented can actually be replicated for the purchaser? The printing was fine. The finished product was not.

This is a good size, good color, great shape. From far away it looks like the symbol for OM but upon closer inspection you can read a bunch of sanskrit names for yoga poses like sun salutations and mountain pose and child's pose.... It's missing a few of my favorites but has several others I have still to work on. But it definitely works well as a comfortable cushion for my meditation practice. I ordered it to supplement my recent yoga studies. I changed the background colour to match my sofa bed. When the pillow is plumped out and round, I have had people not want to sit down in case they disturb the sleeping cat. Great quality fabric, easy to throw in washing machine when needed and it came out the same after a gentle cold wash. So detailed and realistic.
